Digital Region has given its support to new business in South Yorkshire by backing the recognition of start-ups at the forthcoming Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards.
The company is sponsoring the Most Promising Business Start-Up Award at the ceremony, which takes place at the Magna Science Adventure Centre on Friday 19 October.
The Digital Region Most Promising Business Start-Up category is open to any business which has been operating for less than two years, and entrants for this award must display a strategic approach to business, successful implementation of a business strategy and have good prospects for the future.
The judges will be looking for evidence of a clear business idea and start-up process; a clearly defined vision for developing and growing the business; and suitable financial controls in place to monitor progress and control cash flow.

The Digital Region Limited Most Promising Business Start-Up Award category is open to businesses in the Barnsley and Rotherham area – and members of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.
