Research from price comparison site uSwitch has shown that a third of homes in the UK have broadband speeds well below the national average of 6.7Mbps.
While many areas struggle to access superfast broadband speeds, South Yorkshire is well ahead of the digital curve.

1.7m speeds tests were carried out to provide the results which showed nearly a third of addresses struggle to get speeds above 5Mbps.
South Yorkshire is in a much better position. The Digital Region network puts the region at the forefront of the digital revolution with current average download speeds on the network are 37Mbps, nearly six times faster than the UK average reported by OFCOM.
